About Uma
I started my yoga practice in 2010 for my own physical healing, and the journey changed me for better. It not only helped me physically but also deepened my understanding of yoga, myself and the world around me. Discovering the benefits of yoga practice and philosophy I took it up for life.
Wanting to share what I have experienced with everyone around me, I began my teacher training at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandram in Chennai, India. I supplemented this with Yoga Dance training for kids by Luna Joy, through the Independent Yoga network. As a trained Montessori teacher I believe in holistic approach to education for children and I wanted yoga to be part of that.
Being a passionate learner and practitioner I continue to attend workshops and classes to experience different traditions and explore all aspects of Yoga. By applying what I learned to my own practice and teaching, I strive to give my best to enhance the practice as a whole. I strongly believe yoga provides tools and techniques for a balanced approach to every aspect of life.
